What Is a Wholesale MOQ, Really?
MOQ is the minimum number of pieces a factory will produce in a single production run. Traditional Chinese jewelry factories often require one hundred to five hundred pieces per design to justify setting up casting, stone setting and polishing for that specific design. For a new brand or a boutique testing a new line, that represents significant capital tied up in inventory that may or may not sell through. The result: many new buyers either over-order and get stuck with dead stock, or they never place their first order at all because the MOQ feels too risky.
Holycome's MOQ Structure
Our standard MOQ starts at just 10 pieces per SKU for in-stock, catalog designs. For custom OEM or ODM designs, the MOQ is 50 pieces. Mixed orders are welcome: you can combine rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets across multiple categories to reach your total order value. This means you can test ten different designs with ten pieces each, rather than committing one hundred pieces to a single unproven style. For repeat orders on proven best sellers, the MOQ stays at 10 pieces, making replenishment simple and low-risk.
Tiered Pricing: The More You Order, the Better the Unit Cost
While 10 pieces gets you in the door, ordering in higher volume tiers unlocks progressively better unit pricing. Our 50-piece tier typically saves five to ten percent per unit compared to the 10-piece tier. Orders above 200 pieces receive factory-direct wholesale pricing plus free branded packaging, hangtags and custom engraving. Most of our clients follow a natural progression: they start with a 10-piece test order across several designs, track which pieces sell through fastest, reorder those winners at 50 pieces, and eventually place 200 to 500 piece repeat orders for their proven best sellers.
Always Sample First, Then Bulk Order
We always recommend ordering one to two individual samples before placing any bulk order. Samples ship within three to seven days via DHL or FedEx, and the sample cost is fully refundable against your first bulk order above 100 pieces. This lets you inspect the actual weight, finish, stone quality and packaging in person before committing production capital. It also lets you photograph the pieces for your own marketing materials before the bulk order arrives.
